Driving Awareness to the Whimsical Exhibition

The San Antonio Botanical Garden is one of the city’s largest attractions and has served as a plant museum, entertainment destination, and serene retreat since 1980. In early 2023, the San Antonio Botanical Garden hired Noisy Trumpet to help debut a new exhibition, Imaginary Worlds.

The exhibition, which ran May 6 through October 29, 2023, featured larger-than-life whimsical sculptures spread throughout the Botanical Garden created by world-renowned artist, Mosaïcultures® Internationales de Montréal. 

Idea

Curate a Strategic Multi-Channel Marketing Campaign

Recognizing the significance of introducing a novel experience to the San Antonio community, we strategically employed various avenues through our multi-channel advertising and marketing campaign for the Imaginary Worlds exhibition. By conducting thorough research, we found that influencer marketing was an effective and successful marketing tactic. This case study delves into the nuances of our overall campaign, shedding light on why influencer marketing stood out in delivering an impactful and engaging experience. Our strategy encompassed curating a precise influencer list, initiating outreach efforts, and hosting a VIP influencer event. Through our influencer partnerships, we created captivating content across platforms like Instagram and TikTok, effectively boosting brand visibility and resonance within local communities. Considering that this was only the third time fairytale-like exhibitions and giant sculptures have been displayed in the US, our strategy was to position the exhibition as a rare and enchanting journey  – “a springtime fairytale come to life!” This messaging was relayed to each influencer and tailored to fit each social media platform.

The campaign leveraged multi-channel advertising and influencer marketing to amplify engagement and drive significant impressions:

  • As a result of the multi-channel advertising & marketing campaign, we achieved the following:
    • 67,360,514 total campaign impressions
    • 57,900,000 Impressions from Broadcast & Online Media Hits
    • 34 Attendees to Opening “Media Night”
    • 87 venue booking requests
    • 20,864 ticket orders & admissions directly attributable to our ad dollars
  • The influencer marketing campaign secured a total of (12) influencers with a total of (323,100) combined followers who attended the exclusive VIP event which resulted in over 353,000 impressions.
  • Of these total impressions, our macro influencers achieved the following results:
