Texas Hold’em Gives Back
January, 18 2019
On January 12th, The PM Group held their annual Charity Texas Hold’em Tournament here in San Antonio. Noisy Trumpet was honored to help promote the tournament through social, digital, and PR efforts and were thrilled to see the success of the event unfold. With 242 players in attendance, the tournament raised a total of $65,000 for its beneficiaries, San Antonio Sports, SA YES, CC YES and Austin YES. These 501(c)3 organizations provide services to underserved youth, strengthening their local communities one child at a time.
San Antonio Sports is a nonprofit that has been transforming the community through sport since 1984. They are responsible for bringing the NCAA Championships to San Antonio along with the Rock ’n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon. Aside from bringing thousands to the city with huge athletic events, San Antonio Sports’ mission is to provide youth sports programs to the community with programs such as i play! afterschool. This innovative afterschool sports program is designed to teach powerful life lessons such as teamwork, dedication and healthy living choices.
San Antonio Youth Educational Support, otherwise known as SA YES, was created in 1998 and has grown across Texas with two additional branches in Austin and Corpus Christi. SA YES, CC YES and Austin YES are dedicated to giving back to underserved students in their communities by providing school supply kits to Title 1 schools.
Thank you to all who participated and made the event a true success. Congratulations to all of the winners including the Grand Prize Winner who won a $10,000 entry into the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas! We are proud to be the digital and public relations agency for the four beneficiaries and look forward to future tournaments hosted by Texas Hold’em.
